Data Gathering and Assessment are excellent first steps as you begin the journey.

I’m wondering if you have a Mentor as a sponsor (such as a VP Marketing), or a cross functional Steering Committee that you report into? Leadership support would help keep your project plan on track. They would also track the IBP business case, insure the benefits are achieved and help resolve any organizational conflicts.
